Why?
Why use Tarasova? Why Bolero? AND WHY that costume????

Evan, dear, I love you, but WHY?

I haven't found his LP yet, and I'm afraid to look just based on teh whining going on on Golden Skate.

not that I enjoy the Evan hate over there anyway. Double standards abound when it comes to Johnny fans vs Evan fans and vice versa. And before you go "well, Toni..." I know I'm guilty of it, but lately I've been defending Johnny... both "men" suffer from foot in mouth disease, and both have massive room for improvement in certain areas... both bring a lot of good into this sport....

...well... did... till Evan got Tarasovized (and can someone please explain how Evan's flailing is so much worse than any other guy out there? I TRIED to get annoyed by flailing, and yes he uses his arms a lot but I don't think it's flailing as so much as "look I can puncuate the music with my arms... flailing to me looks like a skater is either trying to take flight or they're drowning and trying to break the surface. Maybe i's because of how I define it, I dunno)

His SP makes me somewhat glad I can't go to Skate Canada or US Nationals... bet you didn't think you'd see me say that!

	Yeah...his LP...it's...not good. The costume is bad/wrong for him. The music is wrong. The choreography is lame. And that's coming from me. (someone who'd pretty much watch Evan read the phone book) (Reply to this) (Thread)

	both programs are less than stellar. I just hope that he either gets Lori to rework it a bit to match his style... or he gets rid of the costumes... maybe because he's got two new programs that are different from the last 2 years he is just fighting through new programs... but I don't know... it has me worried. 	Okay so hate the shirt...it's like Goth Night or something. Don't mind the program so much, it's better than Espana Zorro. ;) I just watched the long program and wow..it's bad. The costume is horrific, I LOVE Gershwin but whoevere did these cuts needs to be dismbowled with a spoon. On the other hand, TT did fix his 3A. (Reply to this) (Thread)

he's still flinging himself into the air... I don't see much of a change, his leg doesn't do the swing as badly when he lands, but then again he wasn't always swinging before he worked with her anyway.

I think the only thing that's GOOD that she gave him was the Straightline at the end of the Gershwin program... but the cuts of the music were so distracting that I couldn't get into it. He is FORCING the program at this point, and I don't think it's because he's not able to understand the choreography - it's because he knows he looks like a chicken with its head cut off out there, and he's dressed like a clown.

I think he's trying to save face as best he can at this point - I wouldn't fault him for scrapping these programs in part or in full and going back to Lori Nichol (yeah, his music was similar the last few years, but honestly it's a competitive program and you go with what works. He looks a fool out there this year)

Then again, maybe TT is trying to teach him humility? lol
