Man, when God wants to be heard...

...he always hits me square between the eyes.

This whole "Live Like You Were Dying" series at church has been kicking my butt. Talk about making one re-evaluate their walk with God and making one feel convicted! It's like Preacher KNOWS... He's like Santa Claus or something.

Actually, not really. It's God speaking through Preacher, and in a Mighty way. I am so thankful I have a pastor who is willing and ready to smack his congregation upside the head time and again with the Word of God. He's not seeker friendly, he's about building a strong and healthy foundation in Christ for all of his sheep.

But yeah... wow )

In other, non religious related news, I just raked part of the back yard, I smell really bad now because the back yard smells horrible! lol. I worked on the church website this morning, gotta make a lot of changes in the next two weeks, but it will be worth it in the long run. Pastor Davis is so different from Pastor Dean when it comes to this website, so the website will be getting a face lift soon.

I also got 'commissioned' to be one of two photographers (Pastor Davis wil be the other one) to shoot the new Church directory. We'll be doing that in the late fall (September/October) I may have him bump it up as work ends september 1 (for the life of me I couldn't remember how far into Sept. we were planned to go lol) and I'm worried I'll be working full time in Kenai during weekends when I need to be writing and studying. We'll see.

I somehow rubbed a blood blister on the palm of my right hand, typing hurts!

I think that's pretty much all that is going on with me. I gotta hit the shower and get ready for a wedding rehearsal dinner. For a wedding for family, that didn't even think to ask me to shoot the wedding. But then they called yesterday and asked if I could shoot the rehearsal and getting ready. I said no. If they'd asked earlier in the year I would have, but I don't have the card/disk space at the moment, and I'm not going to stress about it. I have already committed this time for the website and just some ME time when I'm not travelling to Kenai (will be there for mom's bday next weekend). *sigh*

The days are going by way too fast, btw. Anyway gonna jump in the shower in about 15 minutes and I still have email to go through so I'm gonna quit rambling here! Hope everyone's early summer is going well...

Oy, boys...

So I'm sitting and chatting with my parents while we're watching ABC's Worlds Coverage (the only channel my parents have that I also have for skating, well other than NBC) and Dad is screaming at the television that Carolina Kostner was held up (he hasn't been watching a lot of competitive skating, so he doesn't get how deductions and goe's work so I had to try and explain it over yahoo! IM lol)

Anyway we get to Mao Asada and half way through the phone rings. I don't recognize the number, but I answered it anyway, and there was a guy's voice on the other end of the phone. It was familiar but I couldn't but a name with the voice, and it turns out it was Jake from work. Mind you, I don't start until the end of May, and I haven't talked to him since the beginning of September... but he was trying to find someone who could pick up some parts for him and drop them off at the hotel that Danny Seavey would be staying at later.

Apparently Dallas and Jake took a snow machine trip from Willow to Nome (?) and according to Jake Dallas wrecked one of the machines and they had to do major repairs lol but they needed a few more parts. They were in Nome, Danny wasn't in anchorage yet, and the store wouldn't be open by the time Danny got into town...

So I went and got the stuff, dropped it off at the hotel, and got completely lost getting home.

So yeah, very little studying going on today. *sigh*

You look familiar, have I threatened you before?

So yeah the weather is still really crappy, and we are watching Pirates of the Caribbean again because I need a Johnny Depp fix. I only have one movie of his down here, so until I can get Aunt Judy to bring my other movies down I guess I'm gonna have to just watch this movie. Not that I am suffering or anything ;) I love this movie so much.

I am working on the last part of Melissa Gregory & Denis Petukhov's website. The fan portion of it. Go check it out and tell me what you think, savvy? ;) I really like the look to it. Also go and post on the message board, because ezboard got hacked into and we lost most of everything and so we need to get the posts back up. *begs all of you*

Mom's van is fixed so she and dad are going to be picking it up after he gets off for lunch. I can't wait, we need our wheels, man! Then I'm going to head over to the church and at least get David finished and get started on Zacheaus in the Tree. We'll see how it goes. I am excited about how the room is turning out, and I promise to have photos.

If any of you are looking for my latest prayer request, just pray that our church's "Friend Day" on Sunday goes well and that the weather is sunny and warm for our BBQ after church. Other than that I'm pretty content with what's going on right now.

My aunt comes down to visit from Saturday until Monday, and I am happy to report I don't have to go back up there, because of the job at the church, but I am still going to look for a part time job... I want to stay in Kenai through Erin's visit home then I can go back lol We'll see how it goes :)

ok I am going to go work on the site some more and watch movies

Love always,
-Tonichelle

So back to normal every day posting

sorry for teh soap box and then emo posting. And to be clear NO ONE on my friends list made me mad lol It was a bunch of anon trolls who came out of the wood works... and one I KNOW was from a baptist message board because they were yelling at me for belonging to a church run by satan(ie my pastor) who had the audacity to stand up to the executive committee (I'm pretty sure it's the same jerk who emails hate letters to our pastor all the time... the guy seriously needs help LOL)

so yeah, just don't worry I was planning on a bigger posting when mom said "OFF THE NET NOW!" lol

so I was really bored all day today and well I didn't do much. Rocked out to John Williams for a while and then finally got dressed around 2 and drove over BY MYSELF to the church (its 5 minutes away but still) and spent 2 hours with Miss Joy. It was fun. I'm going over tomorrow morning to help paint her preschooler room... it should be fun...

ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm I don't think I got the job. We still haven't heard back from the visitor's center... so I am going to start job hunting after Joy's thing tomorrow...

then I've got the house to myself for 2 days woot woot! and the car so I might brave the roads by myself, we'll see.

Pastor Dean comes home today so I'm sure he'll be in a bummed out mood over the committee meetings again. They treat him like dirt and it ticks me off... I'm thinking of changing my layout (not too much just the graphics *gasp* getting rid of Ewan and Hayden for a while) and putting Dr. Patterson, Dr. Prevo, and Pastor Dean... I need a Baptist theme for a while I think... we'll see I might just go for a Bible verse...

so yeah nothing else to report... sorry for the soap box entries earlier... I love you all! *HUGS*

-Toni
Major *hugs* go out to Hez, I love you and am praying for you (my whole family is). *hugs*

No job news...

I was supposed to hear back from them yesterday, but it sounded like they were having communication problems within the whole process so I am not too worried. I'll give them until Friday and if I don't hear back it's back to job searching for me. I will be bummed, but oh well.

ummmmmmmmm what else... drove around for a while yesterday helped miss Joy figure out how to change the calendar on the church website so that I wouldn't always be needed! but yeah fat chance of that LOL It's an easy program but she'd just rather I do it so that if something does go wrong it will be my fault. LOL

I forgot to talk about my "teaching" Sunday School this past Sunday. We watched VeggieTales: Duke & the Pie War. It's the most boring one of the series IMHO, but it's still really good. The first segment is about Baby Moses. It's really cute and much better than the title feature, but Marcus-Tyrell did not enjoy it. The kid has no imagination. LOL. His biggest problems were that peas don't talk. And that Moses was not a baby carrot he was a PERSON. He also didn't like it when Miriam put the baby in the water, or when she got hit in the face with baby food. LOL So yeah I was not a big hit in sunday school. Next time I'm gonna bring a different veggietales... or I'll just let them run wild all morning heh heh heh.

Other than that nothing much to report... I am soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo wanting to be at nationals again. I was re-reading my journal entries and we just had so much fun... *sigh* oh well... gonna hit the message boards and then gonna head upstairs and work more on my scrapbook... I should scan some of the pages so you all can see them...

so toodles!

So I survived

the first day of Vacation Bible School. If I never have to hear the song "Raise Some Praise" again I will die a happy girl ha ha. Unfortunately I know it will be played regularly this week. UGH

In other news, I submitted my resume to the Kenai Visitor's Center this afternoon. Pray that it's what they're looking for. I would love this job. It would completely rock to have a job. Especially down HERE in the SUMMER. And it's something I know loads about. I get to gush about the awesomeness that is Kenai/Alaska. Yeah I whine about the winter, but the summers flat ROCK here.

Kassy comes home on the 12th! I am so excited to see her again, though I worry she'll be changed and we'll have even less in common. It's not like she and I have been the closest of best friends in a while, but still. I hate change of any kind, even if it's for the best.

Oh! and if anyone has seen Madagascar can you tell me if you liked it? Dad wants to see it, but then one of my close friends came back from it yesterday and he didn't like it (but he doesn't like Shrek either). And then one of my favorite little kids said he didn't like it either. But he doesn't like Revenge of the Sith either so what does he know ;) ha ha!

I love Mrs. Joy's grandkids: Tyreke and Marcus... Ty is 4 and Marcus is almost 4. They crack me up!

God works in mysterious ways.

So I haven't been able to find the email addy for the Visitor Center, and with VBS and driving I could never get to the center during the hours I needed to.

This morning I got an email from the lady I needed to talk to asking if I was still looking for a job! OMG! I replied, and am waiting to hear back. Pray for me!

VBS also starts today so pray for me there too... I'm in charge of the soundbooth and basically am the only one who knows what's going on ha ha!

ok so I gotta go... chat at you all laterz!

Oh! yesterday I got a message on the answering machiene from DENIS! It was cool, but kinda sucky because I wasn't home (obviously) and it's over something about their seminars so yeah hopefully I'll be home next time they try to get ahold of me. I hate the timezone difference because I don't want to call them at a bad time! *which reminds me I should email them to apologise for not being home yesterday like I thought I would be*

ok really going now!
