Tesa and Steve had the baby on Tuesday! Little Seth weighed in at 9 lbs... but mom emailed me and said that there were "problems" and that he was flown up to Providence here in Anchorage in the neonatal unit (what the heck is that?) I am a little worried.

In better news: Tony Cobb finally got to go back to Kenai. Yeay! He's been a worry for quite some time...



Had a major headache yesterday, my eyesight is getting worse and I think that's what the problem is... Woke up to Fantasia who was HORRIBLE last night. Even for Fantasia that was bad. But when she was talking to Ryan she sounded like she had no voice, so maybe that's the reason. Fantasia is coming to Alaska soon for one night only. I said I didn't want to go, but considering if people go to HERS then maybe Kelly or Clay might get their butt up here... so now I want to go, but no one wants to go with me and that makes me sad. Maybe I'll post on the Alaskans LJ community and see if anyone's planning to go. LOL

So I called mom last night, and St. Louis is a "go" so long as I get the $$ to go. And she reads my journal apparently and just didn't want to discuss the thing. So for the time being Heather doesn't have to kick anyone's butt ;)

This means I will be going to Kenai in May, getting my drivers license (hopefully) and then I'll be in Anchorage for teh rest of the summer working.... considering all of my friends no longer live in Kenai it's not a big deal... so we'll see... I'm *that* much closer... I guess LOL Otherwise I guess there's always spokane... lol

American Idol was good last night. my picks for the top 6

1. Bo - I'm not into the rockers, but does anyone else think he looks and sounds like Travis Tritt?
2. Anwar - He's just amazing
3. Travis - awful song choice, but he's likable enough that I think he will make it
4. Scott - I don't like him but he has a decent voice
5. Mario - He's okay, but *yawn*

Yeah, I think my parents are now officially more obsessed with American Idol than I am. Not that I care or anything, but you'd think my parents would want to talk to me more than they'd want to watch American Idol!

I called last night and they weren't home, then they called me back right before American Idol. Then dad tries his darnedest to get me off before *gasp* he missed the show. I felt *SO* loved last night! LOL When DUANE wants to talk with me more than daddy, something is wrong LOL

For the Record my mom likes Travis. She think's he's smooth and not that bad for the eyes. LOL That's my mom.

Speaking of Dad, he got attacked by a Bald Eagle. Okay, well, it was caught in a coyote snare, and dad tried to rescue it and it fought back. But no worries teh Eagle is fine, dad got a fish and game dude to come out and they got the Eagle loose. And I guess teh guy who owns the snares will be in trouble for something he did that made it a "bad" trap... I don't remember what daddy said

Anyway I am watching Dateline right now, and not to be overly rude. But I really think Scott Peterson's half sister is out for money. Her whole crap of I don't want to hurt them, I think is a load of crap. She just *suddenly* feels that he's guilty? I don't buy it! I think it's totally egotistical of her and just wrong... there's my rant

Erin was over here till 11:30pm we watched Miracle... dad cried... but Erin and I were so goofy that we didn't cry this time LOL Erin is so cool... she's "downsizing" her video collection... going all DVD so she gave me her first 3 seasons of FRIENDS since they were on tape! I love her. My favorite episode, I have forever now. "The One Where No One Is Ready" absolutely LOVE IT! "Hey, I'm Chandler... could I BE wearing anymore clothes???" LOL Good times!

Tomorrow we're going to see Shrek 2. I guess that it's more of adult humor than kids humor this time around... kind of a bummer, but I'm being sent by my parents to give them my "Simon, Paula, and Randy" opinions (I have multiple personalities I guess LOL) Dad likes Randy, mom likes Paula, and I like Simon LOL so I guess that's why... whenever dad is practicing his solo(s) for church he always makes me play all three AI judges... yeah and everyone says *I'M* obsessed with that show! LOL Dad was pouting this morning listening to my CD of AI3... "LaToya shouldn't be gone" LOL *rolleyes* He's got the same funk I had last year after Clay lost ;)

Then on Saturday Erin and I are taking Duane to the carnival... if we don't kill him first... he wants to go to the opening... but we don't have time today to go... so he's going on 24 hours of pouting... the only time he doesn't is when dad is in the room because dad says if he doesn't have a good attitude about it he won't get to go PERIOD... *sigh*


Memorial Day Weekend Erin and I might go to Homer and Seward... just for day trips... should be fun... but the roads will be congested with tourists and fishermen... oh well... Photo ops! :)

CSI Miami/New York was really good, though I thought the CSI Las Vegas/Miami transition episode was better, but that's just me...

I don't know how much I'll like the New York team... we really only met the head hancho... the other people were insignificant and forgettable... and whats with no hot guys???? Miami has one, why can't New York (and Las Vegas has 2, they should share LOL)

I dunno... Forest Gump's "Lt. Dan" is the star, but for the life of me I can NOT remember his real name! LOL I think New York has a lot of potential... and the case last night was really exciting... 5 dead bodies in 2 states... very cool!

That was soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo uninspired last night... no one really blew me away... For Diana to be the best of the evening you know it had to have been the selection... because all in all she wasn't THAT GREAT anyway...

my rankings (like Randy said, last night was obviously going to have to be decided by performance)

1. Diana -- not saying she was great... but at least she got the mood... hated that skirt... she needs to learn how to stand so that it's not really ugly in that skirt LOL

2. George -- he was good... not his best, but then, who was?

3. John -- I liked it... he attempted it... it wasn't any worse than anyone elses... a little pitchy... but a tender moment... gotta love a kid who sings to his G'Ma.... (I know I said I wouldn't vote for him... but I wanted to see if I could get through... in the 20 mins I voted I got through 5 times... so EITHER AI is blocking votes to go to him so that he doesn't get killed by some crazed wacko fanatic of Jennifer Hudson or people are still voting for him... and stronger than ever! :eek: my best friend tried voting for George and got through once in the two hours... very weird... normally Alaska has no problems getting through! :eek: )

4. Latoya -- dancing did nothing for me

5. Fantasia -- I was really annoyed with the "This is For You Jennifer" "I love you Jennifer" every few beats... besides... if that was all she wanted to give to Jennifer... then they're not good friends... it was so totally off for Fantasia tonight... she had a good boob jiggle though :rolleye:

6. Jasmine -- after she got sick and then better her voice went away... I think all of the younger kids started off strong, but are getting weaker... :(

I do have to say that Simon's pissy attitude look was so needed after all the death threats they've gotten for the various judges, Ryan, and John Stevens. His speech to John was also very very good!

I was so happy... though Tasia and Jenny H being the bottom two was a wow... but I'm glad Jennifer left... didn't like her...

now if only Fantasia would go away LOL

My school schedule is one that does not allow much free time on Thursdays so I'm behind! :laugh: However this week I took notes down for what dad said and predicted to compare so I'll add those to my post at the the end.

1. George -- awesome lower register... yes it was subdued compared to his more upbeat performances, but I like the softer side of George Huff... wasn't his best, but wasn't the worst he could do by a long shot.

2. Jennifer -- sorry, Trenyce owned this song last year, Jennifer just seems so over produced... and it's not all about the power notes baby... yeah the song calls for them... but don't over do it. I can just imagine how loud she is in that auditorium! :eek:

3. JPL -- Love his movie selection, seize the day! As a girl who grew up listening to Elvis a lot... JPL and Elvis WORK... Jailhouse Rock is a great song, and it was a great choreographed number in the movie... He had a rough spot where he forgot the words, but other than that it was good. Did anyone else want to see Tanith and Ben and Elena and Anton skate their Elvis number during it though? LOL I loved his dancing... really good...

4. Diana -- I hate Titanic! UGH! Good song, but Diana was so under pitch ick! Kim Locke sounded awful last year... but I think Diana takes the cake... ick ick ick. Yuka was actually whining in places... (had it on surround sound...) definately NOT the right song choice for Diana... she's had several bad weeks... I actually agreed with QT on this one... but I really didn't like his style... we don't need two Simons on there and that's what he was aiming for IMHO. Did anyone else think her fake laugh during her movie choice segment was incredibly annoying?

5. Fantasia -- oh gosh... she is SO NOT NEMO! I don't know I think the whole "Nemo" thing was a vote getter... it's a good movie YES but really the favorite movie? But whatever LOL. I still like Lauren Enswiler's version of Summertime better than Fantasia's... but I just don't like Fantasia's voice so maybe that's the reason... it was sung well... just wasn't pleasing for my ear to listen to... and I'm not knocking Broadway or anything... but why can Fantasia sound really "broadway" (and for that matter some of the other ladies) and Simon love her but when CLAY did it last year he sucked????????? I am so terribly confused... dad said it's probably because Clay proved Simon wrong and now he's kinda over compensating? I guess that makes sense?

6. Jasmine -- was not surprised about her movie selection ;) she was the only one I had pretty much figured out. Song was better this week... but still not her best...

Neil was very cool with the Clay love ;)

7. Johnny -- first off... ALADDIN??? Can we say GEEK??? I was really surprised with that answer :laugh: He wore a Kurt Casablanca Jacket (ok not really but that's what I thought about during this song!) He started off a little flat but got right into it... beautiful... John's back! I loved it! I love his voice! WAY TO GO JOHNNY! QT is a dork, Randy finally got it right, loved Simon's snapping comment, and yeay for Neil and his standing O!!!

*Music Video was GREAT the best one of the season so far! John has a chicken chest... yikes! Can we say "Got Milk" ? :laugh:*

8. Latoya -- Nemo? What's with that movie? LOL She's got lungs. Don't like WSS. Vocal Gymnastics for me with this song, it's getting old. It worked for Clay because he stood out... but this year is all about power singers and I'm tired of it! LOL

I am so bored and tired. I didn't sleep well last night(stupid cats, KASSY OWES ME BIG!) and now I'm stranded at the house until mom gets home until 7:30... the VCR they have here DOES NOT RECORD... and I want to record American Idol! *cries* I'm so very tired, bored, and yeah...

but hey we had fun last night, and the house is a complete and total mess... but I am learning how to be "domestic" through all of this so it's all good.(though their microwave is waiting to blow up, and their dish washer makes funny noises.)

I fell in love with clay and I wanted to watch everything and I couldn't because my parents don't have cable... and that my ABC station is poopy? And remember when I missed Clay on Prime Time and I was bummed and I asked people about it and it was vague with a "you need to get your hands on a copy" and I was like "need $$ for that" and so I never got to see it? Well, I just downloaded it last night(5 hours but hey this is my friends computer and so yeah it's funky that way) all I can say is... I cried.

while I'm still extremely nervous for John (especially after some of your comments! GRRRRRRRRR) I'll get everyone up to date on me. (as if anyone REALLY cares LOL)

Skating's been really quiet, so Bella and Patch's and Melissa and Denis' sites/boards have been really really quiet. So I have basically been bored out of my mind. To top that off I'm staying at Kassy's most of the time as I'm house sitting and it's so quiet over there. Or, at least, it was until the cats started realizing Kassy and her family weren't coming back for a while. Which means all three of them are driving me nuts! Then over the weekend one of the toilets broke and flooded the whole downstairs... I was so busy last weekend I stayed home instead of staying over there and ACK! what a wet and icky surprise... dad will be looking at it sometime tomorrow.

The wedding assignment I had went awesomely well. I have to get the photos developed still, but I am confident that they look great! :) Janet and Lee were so sweet and nice, and I didn't even know them! I was so nervous, but I calmed down right away. However I still suck at posing people. GRRRRRRRR oh well... I'm learning and they were so understanding! LOL

School is going ok, but I really am slacking off this semester and I don't know why... it's so hard to stay motivated in Alaska... it's the most depressing place in teh winter time IMHO.

I had so much to say an hour ago when I was at the Bittle's... but then mom showed off the through off my groove! LOL
