Dat Phan @ UAA!!!!
OMG! It was so much fun! I loved every minute of comic night! Rob P... *will edit with name spelling* ( http://www.RobPRocks.com ), RETTA, and then Dat Phan. I haven't laughed that hard in a good long while.
We got there early enough to get FRONT ROW! It was soooooo cool!
Rob was the first to come out and do his bit. I think he and Dat had longer routines than RETTA, but that was a good thing. Rob was great. Very funny, I loved his final sketch thing on "Canon in D" I totally felt him on that one! It does suck if you're a base!!!! LOL It was very entertaining and yeah, I really liked him and hope to catch some of his stuff on TV... I really really really liked it, wish he had come out afterwards to sign autographs...
Then RETTA came on, and was the most "foul mouthed" of the evening, but not too much that we left! She had a great bit on small soaps you get in hotels and how a "big girl" like her would have obvious problems... I thought dad was going to die he was laughing soooooooo hard! LOL We all were(Duane slept through most of Rob's... but got woken up by everyone clapping!) Duane liked her best cuz she kept talking to him(and she tried to tone some stuff down because he was sitting right there which was cool)
After RETTA got off the stage DAT PHAN came on. Now to say I'm just a tad bit of a fan is an understatement. HE IS SO AWESOME! He has so much energy, he can't stay in one spot to save his life! LOL He did most of the routines he used in Last Comic Standing, except for my favorite one about his mom having problems with cartoon violence... but he also did some new stuff, as well as most of his routine from Last Comic Standing 2's finale... he totally deserves to be the winner... he was a kick. "You call me on the payphone..." LOL!
After it was over we went out and Dat was selling his CD. I got it and he was there selling them, no "people" selling it for him... and he was signing every one of them and thanking people for coming out... and I got so star struck. I probably looked like a dork I was shaking so bad that he even made a comment about it. He wished me luck in school and thanking me for coming and gave me a hug... then dad talked to him... right about now he's in Hollywood filming some of the new LCS... he flew out a few hours after the show... crazy. Which reminds me I need to visit his site... so I'm gonna go do that now... and hopefully later make some icons of Dat!!!
