I just realized I don't have any iconage of Keegan...

I must find time to remedy that. How can I be a fan and not have something like that! TSK!

Anyway the ADN is mad at me because I keep complaining they don't cover Keegan very much. Boy got a blurb in the Sunday paper, which I did not see though they swear it's in there, and so I wrote a letter saying they dropped the ball. It IS on their website but hidden under pages and pages so what's the point??

Keegan is becoming very popular in the skating circle. I have gotten so many emails and PMs on Golden Skate about him saying how great he is and people can't wait to see more. It's nice that outsiders like the kid because Alaska/Anchorage could care less...

and then the blurb that they did have was so short and dull that it's no wonder people don't get why he's so special. They talked more about Sydney Vogel than they did him (who I didn't realize was an Alaskan skater lol)

so I continue to be a thorn in their side, and I'm counting the days till I can see him (and Parker Pennington) skate in Rondy!

KEEGAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Keegan Messing - Anchorage, Alaska figure skater! - won the Pacific Coast Sectionals today! I am so excited for him! I seriously let out a fangirl squeal and bounced on my bed! I am so happy that he pulled it out. He got a decent score, I think, I honestly don't follow Juniors all that much. Aside from Keegan I guess I could care less lol which is sad, but it's just hard to keep up with everything all the time!

So proud of him! *bounces*

KEEGAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Finally a video on Youtube of his skating this season! It's from the J. Curry Memorial. It looks like he kept his LP from last year, but got a new (better) costume!

I LOVE that he starts his program with the 20th Century Fox theme.

Yay, Keegan!

So Anchorage's best figure skater (rather ALASKA's best!), Keegan Messing, is competing at Liberty. I forget that he's old enough to be followed by the USFSA's media now lol so I tend to find out about it after it happens!

Anyway he's had an impressive showing this week, he's second place in the Jr. Division (being Jet-lagged and all!) and he WON the Long Program! w00t! He hit the triple axel and I'm just so happy for him! Not only is he Alaskan and making waves, he's actually a GREAT SKATER and PERFORMER! So I think that's fantastic

anyway the article is here - http://web.icenetwork.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20080718&content_id=49448&vkey=ice_news - but you have to scroll a bit to get to where they mention him.

YAY KEEGAN!
